History of Midvale Cinco De Mayo

Midvale Cinco De Mayo was made possible and started by Fausto Rivas and Mayor Everett Dahl back in 1987. They had a vision of bringing people together in the community for fun and friendship. They also wanted to provide a multi-ethnic celebration right here in Utah.

Everett passed away in 2007 and we would like to commemorate his life and contribution to Midvale Cinco De Mayo.

Fausto, his family, and many friends continue to make the celebration a great success year after year. They could not do it without generous contributions of time, money, and other resources from people throughout the community. As a non-profit organization, it is an all volunteer effort. Please offer your generous thanks to all board members, volunteers, sponsors, and other contributors for making Midvale Cinco De Mayo possible each year.

We would like to request that everyone patronize the businesses listed on our sponsor page because without them, we could not continue the celebration.
